Lärandemål
Upon completion of the course the student should have the ability to;
Kunskap och förståelse
- describe child development and developmental disorders
- describe health and ill-health in children
- identify factors that affects health in children
- describe ways to promote and maintain health
- explain children and family needs in health care.
Färdighet och förmåga
- identify nursing problems and perform nursing activities on children with ill-health
- critically analyze and evaluate nursing practice based on scientific and ethical aspects from an international and national perspective.
Värderingsförmåga och förhållningssätt
- reflect on reasons for the variations of health and ill-health between and within countries
- show awareness of the complexity of children’s health and ill-health as well as developmental disorders.

Undervisningsformer
Lectures and seminars.
Undervisningen bedrivs på engelska.
Förkunskapskrav
General entry requirements and passing grades in courses of 30 credits in health and social welfare (eller motsvarande kunskaper).
Examination och betyg
Kursen bedöms med betygen A, B, C, D, E, FX eller F.
Examination will be based upon one individual written examination and seminars.
Assistant Professor serves as the course examiner.
