Upon completion of the course the student shold havde the ability to:

- explain different perspectives on health and welfare
- explain theoretical models of disability
- discuss the implications of models of disability for rehabilitation
- discuss cultural perspective on health and disability
- explain client centered practice
- explain the conventions on the rights of persons with disabilities
- discuss the important of quality improvement in health services.

- apply the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in classifying impairments
- classify health interventions according to the International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI)
- discuss sustainability as a concept within health and welfare.
