Upon completion of the course the student should have the ability to:

• describe human behavior from a biopsychosocial perspective
• describe neurological structures of importance to human behavior
• describe normal human psychological development and central personality theories
• account for social psychological factors and the importance of motivation for human behavior
• explain relationships between psychological factors and health, illness and well-being
• explain the course of crises and the significance of treatment for people in crisis.
