After a successful course, the student shall:

- demonstrate comprehension of the difference between the experience of practical work and the theoretical knowledge acquired earlier in the programme

- demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge acquired through their education in professional work
- demonstrate the ability to describe, analyze, and reflect on the results of their work experience and to present them orally and in writing to the client and at the university

- demonstrate an understanding of their future professional role and the responsibility for sustainability that comes with it
- demonstrate insight into their future professional role and the responsibility for sustainability that comes with it

The course aims to provide students with the possibility for a professional approach to the
exercise of their future profession.

The course includes the following elements:
- Joining and contributing knowledge to an ongoing project
- Witnessing and participating in an ongoing product development process
- Participating in professional practice relevant to the main subject area
- Planning and delivering professional development for the client’s staff
- Written and oral reflection upon the experience of professional practice, and its documentation

Students work individually at the assigned company and/or via digital platform; hands-on professional practice in the workplace; and final report, written and oral, on campus.

An application stating the company where the internship is going to be conducted and the main tasks, assignments, and deliveries must be submitted to the course responsible and examiner for approval. The internship will be approved only if the company, tasks, assignments, and deliveries are evaluated as relevant for the program and the student’s educational and professional growth.

At least 30 credits in the Master's program should be approved.
