Upon completion of the course the student should have the abilitity to:
Knowledge and understanding
- describe the structure of the human body at the level of cells, organs and organ systems
- describe the function of the human body at the level of organ and organ systems
- describe the interaction between the organs and organ systems under normal physiological conditions and changes.
Skills and abilities
- identify and localize surface anatomy
- use correct medical terminology.
Judgement and approach
- integrate physical activity in a health perspective.

- cells, tissues, and organs of the human body
- nervous system, sensory organs, and the endocrine system
- musculoskeletal system
- circulatory system and respiratiory system
- digestive system
- urinary system
Type of instruction
The course is implemented in the form of lectures, seminars and laboratory lessons.
The teaching is conducted in English.

General entry requirements
Examination and grades
The course is graded A, B, C, D, E, FX or F.
The course is examined in the form of active participation in a seminar as well as an individual written examination.
A university lecturer serves as the course examiner.
