On completion of the course the students will be able to:

- assess and explain the knowledge frontier of Oral Health Science
- identify key concepts relevant to oral health.
Skills and abilities
- compiling a literature review of oral health.
Judgement and approach
- value ethical standpoints and critically examine and evaluate scientific articles
- critically examine and evaluate one’s own efforts and identify what needs to be improved / developed regarding the own scientific method.

Type of instruction
The course is conducted through own work in the form of a literature review in an area of Oral Health Science, chosen in consultation with the supervisor / program director.
The teaching is conducted in English.
Prerequisites
General admission requirements and passing grades in courses at basic level of 60 higher education credits in the main subject Oral health inc. Scientific Course, Inroduction to Research, 7,5 credits or equivalent.
Examination and grades
The course is graded A, B, C, D, E, FX or F.
Examination is in terms of a written report.
Examiner
Senior lecturer alt. licentiate serves as the course examiner.
