Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO)
On completion of the course the students will be able to:

Contents
- Deepening knowledge of the Swedish language and grammar
- Pronunciation and listening exercises
- Text reading
- Text writing
- Oral individual presentations
- Swedish culture and intercultural awareness
- Overview of Swedish current affairs through media
Type of instruction
Lessons, group discussions and role play where students are expected to participate actively. Active attendance, at least 80% of the lessons, is compulsory.
The teaching is conducted in English.
Prerequisites
General prerequisites and Swedish 2 (or the equivalent).
Examination and grades
The course is graded Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with Distinction (VG).
Learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be examined in an individual written examination (60%of course result) and written text (15 % of course result)
Learning outcomes 2, 3 and 5 will be examined in an individual oral presentation(15% of course result) and active attendance (10 % of course result).
The grade is translated to the ECTS grading scale (A, B, C, D, E, Fx or F).

Course evaluation
At the outset of the course the course manager ensures that course evaluators are elected (or exist) among the students. The course evaluation is carried out continuously as well as at the end of the course. On the completion of the course the course evaluators and course manager discuss the course evaluation and possible improvements. The result is reported to, among others, the Associate Dean for Education, the Council for Undergraduate and Master Education, and the Board of Directors of JIBS. The course manager shall at the outset of the following course report results and measures taken in the previous course evaluation.
