After a successful course, the student shall

- display knowledge of implications of digitalisation and connectivity for planning and operation
- demonstrate comprehension of the characteristics of supply chain operations management and its role for planning and operation

Skills and abilities

- demonstrate skills of problem identification, analysis and decision making within planning and operation
- demonstrate the ability to apply different methods and tools relevant for planning and operation
- demonstrate the ability in speech and writing to clearly report and discuss own conclusions and the knowledge and arguments on which they are based
- demonstrate the ability to lead, participate and collaborate effectively in teams toward goals

Judgement and approach

- demonstrate the ability to critically analyse the impact planning and operation has on economic, social and ecological sustainable development

Type of instruction

The teaching is given as lectures and seminars.

The teaching is conducted in English.

Prerequisites

Passed courses of at least 90 credits within the major subject industrial engineering and management, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering (or the equivalent), and 15 credits in mathematics, and completed course Introduction to Supply chain operations management, 7.5 credits. Proof of English proficiency is required.

Examination and grades

The course is graded 5,4,3 or Fail.

The final grade will only be issued after satisfactory completion of all assessments.
