After a successful course, the student shall
Knowledge and understanding
- display knowledge of group dynamics and resistance in leading operations through different work processes
- display knowledge of how work processes and disruptions in sustainable operations affect human cognitively and emotionally
- demonstrate comprehension of identifying disturbances in operations as learning potentials in the organization
Skills and abilities
- demonstrate communication skills in leading consensus building processes through involvement, participation, and active engagement in work processes within operations
- demonstrate the ability to use methods and tools in leading meetings and development processes on the group level in operations
- demonstrate the ability to reflect on own and others’ behaviour in relation to competence development in work processes

- demonstrate the ability to analyze the situation and taking role in leading sustainable operations

Contents
The course includes theories and methods for leading sustainable operations through interpersonal communication, involvement, group dynamics and awareness of how disturbances in flow can be seen as learning potentials for development in the organization.

Type of instruction
Lectures, seminars, and communication training sessions are course activities.
The teaching is conducted in English.
Prerequisites
Passed courses of at least 90 credits within the major subject industrial engineering and management, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering (or the equivalent), and 15 credits in mathematics. Proof of English proficiency is required.
Examination and grades
The course is graded 5,4,3 or Fail.
The final grade for the course is based on a balanced set of assessments. The final grade will only be issued after satisfactory completion of all assessments.
